The female voices on offer
You choose a voice type, not a singer. Each one is a short description that goes to the vocal model with your words. These are the four female ones for your own beat:

The third column is a starting point, not a promise: the same description comes out a little differently on every take, so listen before you commit. Add a line of style to steer it further, such as “breathy and close, little vibrato” or “belted, bright, big chorus”. If you write “female” or “female rapper” in the style line, Lyro reads it and uses a female voice even if the voice button was left alone. You cannot name a real artist as the style.
A female hook or a female verse, bar by bar
A female hook on a type beat only needs the chorus bars. Upload those 8 or 16 bars, paste the hook, and copy the one clip you like onto every chorus in the studio (see a sung hook for your beat for the full method). Here is how long those bars last, and what they cost:

Every row is under a minute, so every row costs the same. A whole three-minute beat costs 11 credits.
- Fit the words to the bars. A sung line takes about four seconds: two bars above about 110 BPM, one bar on slower beats. At 140 BPM, 8 bars hold four lines; at 90 BPM, they hold eight.
- Write every repeat out. The vocal model sings exactly what it reads, so “x2” is not a repeat sign to it.
- A female rap verse? Write about one line a bar and keep the lines to a similar syllable count. The syllable counter shows each line’s count. AI rap vocals on your beat has the whole bar-writing method.
- No words yet? Lyro can write lyrics sized to your beat before it sings them.
- Hook only, verses open. Put her only where the choruses go and leave the verse bars instrumental for your rapper.

If you want a particular singer’s tone, an exclusive, or a performance for the final release, book a person. Where the limits are
- You choose a voice type, not a singer. Lyro has no voice cloning and does not take a real artist’s name as a style, so “sounds like” prompts are refused by our acceptable use policy.
- The melody is the model’s. It writes its own tune for your words, and a new one on every take. It cannot follow a hook you hum.
- One lead voice comes back. No harmonies, doubles or ad-libs are stacked for you. A second take laid on another track is a different performance, so it sounds like two singers rather than a tight double.
- You cannot set her range or pick her notes. If a note clashes with your chords, see fix an AI vocal that is out of key. If the whole vocal sits too high or too low, the studio can shift it by whole semitones (-12 to +12); keep the shift small, since large ones change the character of a voice.
- With only about four lines of lyrics, the model adds lines of its own over a long beat. Upload just the hook bars, or write more.
- A word can land slightly early or late. Split that phrase in the studio and move it on the grid. See AI vocals off beat?
- AI vocals can mispronounce names and slang. Respell the word the way it sounds and generate again.
- You need the rights to everything in the beat you upload, samples and loops included. If you leased it, your lease decides what you may release.
Credits, plans and rights
A female vocal over up to a minute of beat costs 7 credits; over a three-minute beat, 11 credits. Bringing your own beat is on every plan: Starter is $14 a month for 80 credits, which covers 11 hook-sized jobs or 7 full-beat jobs if you spend nothing else. Writing the words uses writing-assistant requests, not credits. As between you and us, you own whatever rights exist in the result, and every paid plan includes a commercial licence for the generated vocal. Every download carries an ID3 tag declaring it AI-generated. We do not promise that AI-generated audio is exclusive or protected by copyright, so do not sell the vocal as either, and say it is AI-made when you list or lease a beat that has it on. Can I choose a soft or a powerful female voice?
Yes. On the Create page the voices include Female, soulful, Female, soft and Female, powerful. The Female button on this page starts on the soulful one. Add a line of style, such as “breathy and close” or “belted, big chorus”, to steer the delivery further.
Can the female voice sound like a famous singer?
No. Lyro has no voice cloning, and our acceptable use policy does not allow naming a real artist as a style or imitating a real person’s voice. Choose a voice type and describe the delivery instead.
Can I get a female hook and rap the verses myself?

Can I add harmonies or a second female voice?
Not automatically. Lyro returns one lead voice and does not stack harmonies, doubles or ad-libs. You can generate a second take and lay it on another track in the studio, but it is a different performance, so it will sound like another singer rather than a tight double.
Can I sell a beat with a female AI vocal on it?
If your store or distributor allows AI audio, yes: check its rules. Every paid plan includes a commercial licence for the vocal.
