- Bounce the part that needs a vocalExport the drop, the breakdown or the whole instrumental from your music software as WAV or MP3, starting on a bar. Lyro reads its tempo and key in your browser.

Getting it into your session
- Start the upload on a bar. The vocal comes back lined up with the file you uploaded, so place it at the bar where that section starts in your project.
- Upload only what needs a vocal. A drop or a breakdown of up to a minute costs 7 credits, against 11 credits for three minutes.
- Nudge, do not warp. The vocal is sung on your track’s grid. If one word lands a little early or late, move that word, not the whole take.
- Build the layers yourself. Lyro returns one lead vocal. Doubles, harmonies, chops and effects are yours to make in your music software or in Lyro’s studio.
Pulling a vocal out of a finished song is a different job
To take the vocal out of a mix you already have, use stem separation instead: the stem splitter, on Creator, splits a song you have the rights to into vocals and instruments. Lyro is not a way to lift an acapella from someone else’s released song, and our acceptable use policy does not allow uploading one. Have your own acapella and need music under it? Where the limits are
- It is AI-made. We do not promise exclusivity or copyright protection for AI output, and every download carries an ID3 tag declaring it AI-generated.
- You choose a voice type, not a singer, and the voice differs from one generation to the next. Lyro has no voice cloning and does not take an artist’s name as a style.
- The melody is the model’s. You steer it with the words, the voice and a line of style, not note by note.
- Programmed tracks with a steady tempo work best. Live recordings that drift in tempo are harder to sing on.
- If a note sounds wrong against your chords, see fix an AI vocal that is out of key.
- You need the rights to everything in the track you upload, samples included.
Credits, plans and rights
An acapella costs 7 credits for up to a minute of track and 11 credits for three minutes. Bringing your own track is on every plan: Starter is $14 a month for 80 credits. Writing the words uses writing-assistant requests, not credits. Downloads are never counted or capped, and a failed job gives back every credit automatically.
As between you and us, you own whatever rights exist in the result, and every paid plan includes a commercial licence for it, so you can release a track with it. Say the vocal is AI-generated when a platform, a distributor or a client asks. See music rights.

Is there an AI that makes an acapella for my own track?

Will the acapella fit my track’s tempo and key?

Is the acapella exclusive to me?
It is generated for your job, not taken from a pack. But it is AI output, so we do not promise it is exclusive or protected by copyright. Do not sell it to others as either.
Can I release a track that uses it?
Yes. Every paid plan includes a commercial licence for what Lyro generates. Keep the ID3 tag, say the vocal is AI-generated when your distributor or a platform asks, and check their rules on AI music. See music rights.
Can Lyro pull the acapella out of a famous song?
No. Only upload audio you made or have permission to use. To split a song you own into vocals and instruments, use the stem splitter on Creator.
