- Prices are set in US dollars. Monthly plans renew every month and yearly plans once a year, until you cancel; on a yearly plan the credits arrive every month. At checkout you may see and pay the amount in your own currency, converted by our payment provider. No tax is added at checkout.
- Plan credits you do not use carry over once, up to one month’s worth, for as long as the plan stays active.
- If a generation fails, every credit for it comes back automatically, and the app tells you so.
- Your library is kept while your account has a plan or top-up credits. After that it is kept for 30 more days, with reminders, and then deleted. Downloads are unlimited.
- There is no free plan: every generation costs us real money at the model provider.
- One account, both places: a plan bought here also works in the Lyro app for iPhone. The prices above are the website’s; in the app, Apple sells its own plans at App Store prices.

Top-ups
Subscribers can add credits at any time. Top-up credits never expire, are used after your plan credits, and stay usable even if your plan ends. They cost more per credit than a plan: if you run out most months, Creator gives you far more credits at a lower price per credit.

Billing questions
Is there a free trial or a discount?
No free trial, and no discount code to look for: the prices on this page are the regular prices. Paying yearly costs up to 70% less than paying monthly: Starter is $72 a year ($6 a month) and Creator $84 a year ($7 a month). Monthly, Starter is $14 for 80 credits and Creator $24 for 300 credits. A new account may get one email with a one-time offer, or see one once in the app; each says its terms and the checkout shows the price before you pay. Renewals are at the price shown before you paid, until you cancel, and cancelling takes two clicks.
How do I cancel?
Inside the app: Settings, Plan and billing, Cancel plan. It takes two clicks, with no phone call and no email. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops. The same screen lets you pause for up to three months instead.
Can I get a refund?
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have 14 days to cancel. If you have not used any credit you get a full refund. Once you use a credit, the purchase is no longer refundable, whatever the price. See cancellation and refunds.
Do unused credits roll over?
Yes, once. Plan credits you do not use carry over into the next month, up to one month’s worth, as long as the plan stays active. Top-up credits are separate and never expire.
What happens to my songs if I cancel?
Everything you downloaded is yours to keep. Your library stays available for 30 days after your plan ends (longer if you still have top-up credits), and we remind you by email and in the app before anything is deleted. Restarting a plan before that date keeps everything.
Can I change plan later?
Yes, inside the app. Move up at any time: you pay the difference between the two prices today and the extra credits arrive straight away; your renewal date stays the same. Moving down takes effect at your next renewal, and the credits you already have stay.
Why do top-ups cost more per credit than a plan?
A plan is the cheap way to buy credits because it is predictable for us: a credit costs $0.17 on Starter and about $0.080 on Creator. Top-ups are for the odd busy month and cost $0.75, $0.63 or $0.58 a credit depending on the pack. They never expire, which a plan credit does.
Why does Lyro cost more per song than some apps?
Lyro pays model providers for every generation. Its default model, Lyro High, is the one that came out on top for sung vocals in our own listening test, and Lyro Extra costs a little more again. Products that run a single in-house model can charge less per song. With Lyro you also get a mixer, mastering and downloads that are never capped, and on every plan your own vocal or beat as a starting point.
