Paste your lyrics into Lyro, choose a genre, a mood and a voice, and Lyro writes a melody and an arrangement and sings your words over them. You get one finished, mixed song of up to 3 minutes, ready to download as MP3 or FLAC. It is made on Lyro High for 4 credits or on Lyro Extra for 5 credits, whatever its length. The melody is the model’s own: if you already sing a tune for your words, record it and use voice memo to song instead.

- Choose the sound and the voicePick a genre and a mood, or describe the sound in a sentence. Then choose the voice, such as a soulful female, a deep male, rap or a duet, and the language your words are in.
- Generate and check every lineLyro shows the credit cost and makes the song. Listen with the lyrics in front of you. If a line is missing or a word is sung wrong, fix it in the text and generate again.
The details
How your words become a song
Lyro sends your lyrics, the style and the voice to the music model you chose. The model writes the melody, the chords and the arrangement at the same time and sings your words on top, so what comes back is one mixed stereo song, not separate tracks.
- Section tags guide the structure. [Verse], [Chorus], [Bridge] and [Outro] tell the model where the song turns. A chorus written the same way each time is sung the same way each time.
- Every take is different. The same lyrics give a new melody on every generation. Plan on two or three tries and keep the one that fits your words best.
- Languages. Your words can be in English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean or Russian. Lyro Extra is made for English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese. Sung Turkish always goes to Lyro High.
Write lyrics the model sings well
- Give it enough words. With only about four lines, the model adds lines of its own. Write at least a full verse and a chorus if you want to hear only your words.
- Keep lines that share a melody the same length. Lines sung to the same tune should have about the same number of syllables. The syllable counter checks them for you.
- Write it the way it should sound. Numbers, abbreviations and unusual names are sung more reliably when you spell them the way they are said: “twenty twenty-six” for 2026, “Shiv-awn” for Siobhan.
- Short chorus lines. A chorus of short, repeated lines is easier to sing and easier to remember.
- No words yet? The lyric writer drafts them from an idea, in the same 12 languages, and you edit them before you generate.
Where the limits are
- You cannot choose the melody. It is written by the model, and it changes on every take.
- A long lyric can come back with a line skipped or changed. Check the song against your text before you use it, and shorten the verses if it keeps happening.
- A song is at most 3 minutes long, and the Lyrics box takes up to 3,000 characters.
- The model’s content filter refuses lyrics from songs by other people and lyrics that are explicit or hateful. Lyro warns you about the obvious cases before any credits are spent, and if a song is still refused, its credits come back.
- You cannot ask for a real artist’s voice. Describe the sound instead: the genre, the tempo and the kind of voice.
Your words, the song and your rights
Lyrics you wrote stay yours. Lyro claims no rights in what you type or upload, and the generated music and vocal are covered by the commercial licence in every paid plan, so you can release the song, use it in videos and sell it. Can AI sing my own lyrics?
Yes. Paste your lyrics in Create under Custom, choose a genre and a voice, and Lyro sings your words over music it writes for them. Listen to the result with your text in front of you, because a line can occasionally be skipped or changed.
Can I keep the melody I already have in my head?
Not from text. The model writes its own melody for your words. If you can sing your tune, record it on your phone and use voice memo to song: Lyro writes the music around your recording and your voice stays as you sang it.
Why did the song add words I did not write?
Usually because the lyric was short. With only about four lines, the model fills the song with lines of its own. Write at least a full verse and a chorus, and mark them with [Verse] and [Chorus].
Can I use the lyrics of a famous song?
No. The model’s content filter refuses lyrics from songs by other people, and using them would also break the rights of whoever wrote them. Write your own words, or let the lyric writer draft some from your idea.
